Who’s getting what salary? Blackstone CEO earned more than $1 billion in 2021

Who's Getting What

Steve Schwarzman, CEO of private-equity giant Blackstone, took home $1.1bn in dividends and pay for 2021 - one of the biggest annual payouts on Wall Street, says Bloomberg.

His pay consisted of $941.6m in dividends from his 19 percent stake in the business, along with $160.3m tied to performance and $350,000 salary.

It is the first year Schwarzman, who co-founded Blackstone three decades ago, has topped the $1bn mark in annual pay.

Pharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca has sought to placate shareholders following last year's revolt over executive pay by promising to freeze the bonus package of its CEO, Pascal Soriot, for three years, says The Mail on Sunday.

His salary will, however, rise 3 percent in line embarked with the company's employees, to nearly £1.4m.

His maximum bonus will be 250 percent of his salary and long- term incentives will be 650 percent of base pay until 2024.

Soriot earned £14m in total for 2021, less than the £15.9m he was paid in 2020.
