WhatJobs Italy launch now means company operates in 50 countries

Shane McGourty

Shane McGourty, Global Managing Director at WHATJOBS, is proud to announce that the Dublin-based job search giant has launched in its 50th country as it expands its global offering for job seekers and those wishing to advertise their vacancies.

On asking why WhatJobs has added Italy to its list of overseas locations, Hicham Serouti,  Global Head of Operations and Sales, said: “We launched in Italy to increase our European footprint, but it also comes on the back of strong support from our international client base who are keen to work with us further.”

WhatJobs has an enviable reputation amongst its peers as one of history's fastest-growing job search start-ups. Launched in 2019, the company operates in North America, South America, Asia, Europe, Oceania, and Africa. Knowing about their reputation, local Italian job boards and recruiters have welcomed the extra competition, with many already getting in touch to collaborate on projects.

Italy is currently ranked as Europe's fourth-biggest economy, with almost 60 million people making up a diverse population.

Alex McDowell, Global Head of Traffic, said to WhatNews: “Italy has one of the strongest economies in Europe and joins the recently launched sites in the Netherlands and Belgium.

“Europe is a big place, but we all know each other in this industry, and we look forward to continued success with our current partners and affiliates”.

McDowell continued: “Since the Covid-19 related downturn, our ethos on delivering value for money for our customers has reached new levels, and we look forward to helping them find new revenue streams via our new Italian venture”.

More international launches are planned throughout 2022, and the company also has an exciting new “employers” product going live in March.

Shane McGourty concluded by saying: “This is a hugely exciting launch for us in one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and our users can expect more new products and services being launched throughout the year."
