Walmart will hold a job fair this week for employees who were displaced by the recent fire at the retailer’s fulfillment center in Plainfield.

The event will focus on finding new jobs within the company for the affected employees.

The job fair will take place from Tuesday through Thursday.

Employees who are placed in new roles during the event will keep their present pay and benefits, according to Walmart.

The 1.2 million-square-foot IND 1 complex was destroyed by fire on March 16.

At the time, almost 1,000 personnel were working, but they all made it out safely.

Plainfield is home to two Walmart fulfillment centers. The facilities employ “several thousand individuals,” according to spokesperson Charles Crowson.

The company did not specify how many employees were affected by the fire.
