Warren Buffett is ranked at number eight among America's most wealthy people.

He is nicknamed the “Oracle of Omaha” and is an extremely successful investor.

Buffett is the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, which owns more than 60 companies, including Duracell and Dairy Queen.

Who is Warren Buffet?

He is the son of an American congressman who bought his first stock at the age of 11 and filed his first taxes at 13!

Buffett, now 91, made a promise to donate 99 percent of his wealth to charitable causes.

So far he has donated more than $45 billion, most of which goes to the Gates Foundation and his Kids’ Foundation.

In 2010 he and Bill Gates set up the ‘Giving Pledge’ in which they asked billionaires like themselves, to donate at least half their wealth to good causes. 

Buffet’s real-time net worth stands at an incredible $113.9 billion. 

How did Warren Buffett make his money?

Firstly, way back in 1962 he became a millionaire due to his partnerships. They had an excess of $7,178, 500 in January 1962 - an astonishing amount of money at the time.

Over $1,025,000 belonged to Buffett. 

Buffett then merged these partnerships into one.

He then invested in the textile manufacturing firm, Berkshire Hathaway, eventually, taking control.

He is now thought to be worth $114.3 billion.
