Tesla founder Elon Musk will step down from the board of directors of US based media company Endeavor.

The resignation will be effective from June 30, 2022, the company announced, causing the Ari Emanuel led firm to reduce its board of directors from the initial eight to seven.

An Endeavor spokesperson said: “We thank Elon Musk for his commitment to Endeavor through our first year as a public company, in which he contributed meaningfully to our long-term strategy and vision for the future of sports and entertainment.”

He said: “We know he has a lot of demands and little time, and we appreciate the support he provided us.”

The company also stated his resignation was not due to disagreement on any matters relating to its operations, policies, or practices.

It is reported that Musk had already told the company his decision on Saturday, March 12.

Musk had associated with Endeavor as its board in 2021 jointly with its IPO, representing a rare board appointment outside of the companies he manages.
