The CEO of a US mortgage company who fired 900 employees over Zoom has apologised for failing to show “respect and appreciation” for the employees he let go. Vishal Garg, the founder and CEO of Better. com, expressed regret in a message posted on his company’s website. Mr Garg said he was sorry for the way “I handled the layoffs last week” after staff uproar over the video call last Wednesday.
