See sewing at its most creative at the Corinium Museum next month with the launch of the ‘Stitchery’ exhibition.

With a wide range of creations, all hand-made by the designer Christine Down, ‘Stitchery’ will showcase a colourful and original array of handbags and purses, children’s clothes, toys and kitchen accessories.

Christine, a mother and a grandmother who started sewing when she had her family, is the designer behind the label ‘Sew Christine’ and uses only natural fabrics and wadding.

The exhibition starts on December 6th and will run to February 20th, 2009.  It will open from Monday to Saturday from 10am-5pm, and on Sunday from 2pm-5pm.

Admission for adults is £3.95, Senior Citizens pay £3.10 and students’ admission costs £2.50.  The cost for children is £2, and if you wanted to pay for the exhibition only, it will cost £1 for admission.

Please contact the Museum on 01285 655611 for more information.
