A Rock Band from South Warwickshire is hoping to be a hit on the internet with the video of their latest single.

Longfellow, who played at Olympic 2012 events last year, is a success story from Shipston Proms.

They won the best band category in last year’s Shipston Proms Fame Contest.

Tonight, they are supporting Loyd Grossman and his band at the opening of Shipston Proms 2013 – the 15th anniversary event.

“Fingers crossed, the video is getting lots of internet hits,” said drummer Tom Warhurst from Sutton-under-Brailes.

Their single Gabrielle is due on iTunes and Spotify on 29th July – the video is currently on the band’s website, Longfellow-music.com, and on YouTube and Facebook.

Longfellow includes Owen Lloyd, lead vocals and guitar, and James Thomas, lead guitar, both 23 and both from Warwick.

Keyboards are played by Ali Hetherington, aged 21 from Moreton-in-Marsh, and the bass player is Isaac Shiman, aged 21, a music student from Boston, Mass.

Drummer Tom, aged 20, works on father’s farm Sutton under Brailes.
