Restaurant tech company expansion will create 100 new jobs in Nashville

Toast, a Boston-based restaurant technology company, is building a logistics facility in Antioch that will create hundreds of jobs.

Over the next five years, the project will create over 100 new jobs in the Nashville area.

Bob Rolfe, the state's economic development commissioner said: “Centrally located and a hub for innovation and hospitality, the greater Nashville region is the quintessential spot for Toast’s new configuration facility."

The new site will serve as a configuration center to strengthen the company's fulfillment, shipping, inventory management, and hardware distribution.

The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development announced the expansion on Thursday, June 30.

The restaurant tech firm headquartered in Massachusetts, chose Antioch, Tennessee, for its first foray into the state, leasing 75,000 square feet in the facility at 3868 Logistics Way.

The firm offers an all-in-one POS system based on the Android operating system.

Following the announcement of the expansion, no information on incentives was made available.

The company will use its Nashville facility for logistics operations.
