Poundland has announced plans to recruit 1,200 new staff to help meet demand in the busy Christmas period.
Retail Gazette reports the discount retailer is looking for staff to work at its stores in the UK and Ireland.
The roles are available now and will end on Christmas Eve.

However, some people may be taken on permanently if roles are available.
As well as the recruitment drive, the company is handing out £25 vouchers to all of its 18,000 staff to spend in-store between December and January.
The staff discount will rise from 10 percent to 20 percent in November.

Poundland has also confirmed its stores will close on Christmas Day and Boxing Day to “give colleagues a well-deserved break”.
Poundland & Dealz people director, Simon Wells said: “The extra recruits will help us make sure that our stores are great places to work and shop at the busiest time of year.”
