With a view to sustainable growing and living, a permaculture course will be held at University of Gloucestershire’s Edible Garden in October.
The Introduction to Permaculture Workshop is a weekend event, open to all, held on Saturday October 2 and Sunday October 3.
The Edible Garden Project was launched at the University’s Francis Close Hall campus in St Paul’s Road, Cheltenham, in 2009. Since then the project, run by the University, the St Paul’s Road Area Resident’s Association, and Gloucestershire Constabulary has gone from strength to strength.
Community members are reaping the rewards of a second season with tomatoes, beans, courgettes, medlars, apples and much more.
The workshop explores the principles and practice of permaculture, a design system that works with nature to provide a practical approach to sustainable living and growing.
