According to the airline, a passenger broke into the cockpit of an American Airlines jobs plane and caused damage while it was boarding a flight from Honduras to Miami.
The man was arrested when security jobs personnel and other staff members interfered. The passenger dashed down the jetway and into the Boeing 737-800’s cockpit, which had 121 passengers and six staff members on board according to American Airlines
As pilot’s jobs and others tried to stop him, he broke flying controls and attempted to jump out of an open window, according to ABC News. The individual has not been identified right away. There were no injuries reported.
“We applaud our outstanding crew members for their professionalism in handling a difficult situation,” American Airlines said.
According to the airline, the damaged plane was grounded at Ramon Villeda Morales International Airport in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
