Ohio robotics company plans $2 million expansion

Motion Controls Robotics, Inc.

A robotics business will spend $2 million on an expansion of its factory in Fremont.

Motion Controls Robotics says the site will increase by 25,500 square feet, which would be utilized for developing automation technologies.

The move is likely to create at least 18 new jobs.

The project, which is scheduled to start construction in 2023, received approval from the Ohio Tax Credit Authority for a Job Creation Tax Credit.

​Scott Lang, the company's president, said in an announcement “This expansion, along with the discussion of building another facility close to our customers, is all part of our 10-year plan.”

The business offers robotic systems to several industries, including manufacturing, consumer packaged products, and food and beverage.
