A Lancaster County firm has almost $25 million to spend which it will use to create more than 60 new jobs.

U.S Strapping Company will open its second Lancaster County location at 234 Grace Avenue.

The company produces polyester straps used used in packaging and the new location will serve as a distribution facility for both domestic and international sales.

FROMM Group, a Swiss firm formed in 1947 that develops, sells, and services a variety of packaging products, owns U.S. Strapping.

FROMM Group CEO Matthias Schwarzenbach said the company got great cooperation and support from local and state economic development specialists, according to an announcement from Gov. Henry McMaster’s office.

Schwarzenbach said: “Lancaster County is an ideal location for us to further expand and invest in our operations in the USA,”.

The expansion should wrap up by the end of the first quarter of 2023.

Jamie Gilbert, county economic development director said: “We couldn’t be more excited to see this project come to fruition and the business activity it will be brought to a strategically important industrial location,”
