Iberia, Nippon and South African airlines all have offices in the borough and have openings for internal auditors and secretaries. The BBC Television Centre is also located in the borough, so journalists and producers can search for careers in the area. 

Coca-Cola and L’Oreal also have UK headquarters in Hammersmith, so procurement directors and coordinators are always required. Chelsea Football Club is based in Fulham. Due to the River Thames flowing through the borough, rowing and sailing is a large part of the available activities and careers in the area. Careers can be found at the many rowing clubs in Putney, Hammersmith and Parsons Green. Retail is also a large part of the economy, thanks to Westfield Shopping Centre in Shepherd’s Bush which contains major high street brands like Urban Outfitters and Massimo Dutti.

Nestled between Ealing, Kensington and Chelsea, the borough is largely known for being home to the Hammersmith Apollo. The North of the borough is greener and has a family-friendly ambience with independent cafes found in Fulham. As it is neighbouring the posh areas of Kensington and Chelsea, Fulham and Hammersmith are slowly becoming more expensive. It is the fourth most expensive borough in London, with prices averaging nearly £950,000 as of 2021. Some areas are still affordable, but it requires a lot of searching to find those bargains still.
