Walmart has teamed with Cognetry Labs, a provider of last-mile solutions, to make Walmart GoLocal’s network of delivery choices available to Cognetry’s clients.

Cognetry offers eCommerce and fulfillment solutions to independent and mid-sized grocers, and the alliance seeks to assist more of them in adding delivery services.

Clients of Walmart GoLocal have access to nationwide high-capacity coverage for last-mile delivery.

The delivery-as-a-service company leverages the retailer’s existing skills to provide flexible delivery alternatives to other retailers around the country.

Cognetry offers an end-to-end AI-driven cloud-native solution designed to increase price productivity, augment fulfillment and enhance delivery drop density.

Harsit Patel, General Manager of Walmart GoLocal said: “Walmart GoLocal and Cognetry Labs have a shared priority of supporting mid-sized and independent businesses and providing efficient, reliable delivery to families in communities across the country,”.

He continued: “This is one way we deliver on Walmart GoLocal’s brand promise — to bring affordable access to products and services to customers while also empowering businesses to grow using our capabilities and coverage.”

Walmart also has several retail partners who use GoLocal directly, such as Chico’s FAS, which offers two-hour delivery in select markets for the Chico’s, White House Black Market, and Soma brands; and Home Depot, which uses the service for items that can easily fit in a car, such as tools, fasteners, and paint.
