Home Bargains plans to open a new store worth £1 million in Essex, which will create 66 new jobs. This trendy retailer has invested approximately £1 million in the new store, joining more than 500 stores in the UK. The new store will open in the East Street Retail Park in Romford, the historic town of Essex. Officially opened on Saturday, the retailer spent about 1 million pounds on the new store, and now the local community has provided 66 new jobs. The store will employ 70 team members, including some employees and managers who will be relocated from the local store.
The 17,341 sq ft store, which formerly housed Poundstretcher, will offer shoppers a range of products, including homewares, health and beauty essentials, sweets, snacks and drinks, as well as fresh and frozen food. Patrycja Kowalczuk, the new Romford store manager, said: "It's a huge honour to be opening our new store in Romford this weekend and something that I'm exceptionally proud of.”
"Having started my Home Bargains journey just over three years ago, it's amazing to now be in this position. And, although I've held the position of store manager before, helping to launch the new Eastern Avenue Retail Park site will be a first for me."
