Elon Musk plans to open all-night Tesla restaurant in Hollywood

Billionaire Elon Musk intends to open an all-night Tesla restaurant in Hollywood, California.

Customers will be able to pay with the meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin at the diner-style restaurant.

Earlier this month, Musk submitted to the city of Los Angeles the paperwork necessary to begin the building of the restaurant.

The restaurant is reportedly driven by Musk's Twitter musings, as he stated about starting this endeavor in 2018.

Musk tweeted: “Gonna put an old school drive-in, roller skates & rock restaurant at one of the new Tesla Supercharger locations in [Los Angeles].”

The business will also include a drive-in movie theatre with two 245-foot LED movie displays and 28 superchargers for customers' Tesla vehicles.

Customers will be able to watch 30-minute shows on the LED displays while charging their electric Tesla cars.

The COVID-19 pandemic may have prompted Musk to finally lay the groundwork for this project.

A year ago, it was reported that Tesla submitted applications with the US Patent and Trademark Office to trademark the "T" logo for a variety of design concepts that may be used primarily for self-service cafes to carry out restaurants.
