Cheltenham franchise owner Ben Higham has been crowned Photographer of the Year 2012 at the inaugural Photography for Little People National Photographic Awards.
The awards were judged by an independent panel from Vogue magazine with the winners announced at a glittering ceremony at Lumley Castle, County Durham on Friday evening.
Higham beat off stiff competition from all over the country to scoop the overall Photographer of the Year award 2012 as well as winning Best New Newborn Shot and Best Baby Shot (6-9 months).
His images were also short listed in a further three categories: Best Bump Shot, Best Baby Shot (up to 6 months) and Best Prop Shot.
Speaking about winning the prestigious award, Higham said: “I am totally amazed at winning the overall Photographer of the Year Award. I was happy enough that I had been short listed in so many categories, but to have won the overall award is just incredible. Having only started the business in May this year this is a real boost to my confidence and recognition of the hard work and time that has been put in to building up my local reputation”
Higham is the owner of Photography for Little People Cheltenham, who specialise in creating beautiful images of newborn babies, children and family groups.
