How Apple Has Reduced Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 55 Percent
Apple has cut its greenhouse gas emissions by more than 55 percent since 2015, the company has revealed.
The company's 2024 Environmental Progress Report has revealed the tech giant is making important progress on the journey towards"Apple 2030."
The project sets out Apple's plan to become carbon neutral across its entire chain by the end of this decade.
The goal centers on cutting emissions by 75 percent from 2015 levels.
Lisa Jackson, Apple’s vice president of Environment, Policy, and Social Initiatives, said: "The proof of Apple’s commitment to climate action is in our progress: We’ve slashed emissions by more than half, all while serving more users than ever before,”
“More hard work is ahead of us, and we’re focused on harnessing the power of innovation and collaboration to maximize our impact.”
