Is the Pig Industry Capable of Meeting the Global Food Demands 2020/2030?
The Royal Agricultural College 100 Club is holding a presentation of the RAC/PIC Annual Fellowship in Pig Research, Report no.7 by Mr Peter Best on Tuesday 15th May 2012 beginning at 16.30 at the Forum Theatre, Stoneleigh Park.
Global pig production has the potential to grow by 50 million tonnes in the next 20 years, according to a discussion of the future world meat market that will be presented at the British Pig and Poultry Fair next May. International journalist Mr Peter Best will describe the growth opportunities available and the key challenges facing the industry.
This is the second series of research programmes sponsored and supported by PIC. Research programmes invite a Fellow to research a selected subject and then present a final report and a lecture at a chosen venue on an annual basis.
