Bed Bath & Beyond Inc has revealed a reshuffle with executives joining from Walmart and IKEA.

Bed Bath & Beyond Inc’s digital-first, Omni-always approach in the home, baby, and health categories would reportedly be strengthened by the hiring, which includes executives from IKEA and Walmart.

Mark Danzig has been named senior vice president of the company’s creative department, where he will be responsible for delivering brand preference and content across the Bed Bath & Beyond, buybuy BABY, Harmon Face Values, and Decorist banners.


Danzig formerly served as the vice president of creative at Walmart Inc, where he oversaw a cross-functional team in developing the new brand architecture for the omnichannel ecosystem, which included advertising, in-store visual, print, and digital.

He has also worked for Gap inc, Travelsmith,, L.L. Bean, and J.Crew, among others.

Umesh Sripad has been promoted to senior vice president of digital, where he will be responsible for enhancing user experiences, digital-first initiatives, customer-facing technology and capabilities, and commerce across all banners.

Sripad formerly served as Chief Digital Officer at IKEA USA, where he oversaw a business transformation in the product, marketing, analytics, technology, and operations.

Overstock Inc, CNN Digital, The Weather Company, an IBM Business, and APN News and Media were among his prior employers.
