Amazon Fresh is a new grocery store that provides a unified grocery shopping experience for customers whether they purchase in-person or online.

Amazon says customers will be able to find everything they love about the company, such as constant cheap prices, convenience, and excellent selection, as well as tasty prepared food selections, created in-store every day and a quick in-store shopping experience.

The new locations will feature Just Walk Out shopping, which allows customers to enter a store, grab what they want, and walk out.’

Murrieta Mayor Jonathan Ingram said, “We’re so excited to welcome the first Amazon Fresh store to Murrieta and to Riverside County, not only will this new store provide members of our community with a convenient, quality, and well-priced grocery option close to home, but it will also create hundreds of jobs right here in Murrieta.”

Amazon established its first Amazon Fresh site in Woodland Hills in 2020, and it currently has ten Amazon Fresh locations in Southern California: Cerritos, Fullerton, Irvine, Ladera Heights, La Habra, Long Beach, Northridge, North Hollywood, Whittier, and Woodland Hills.

Amazon’s impact in California extends beyond the jobs available within its stores and facilities. Amazon has invested more than $80 billion in the state since 2010, including infrastructure and wages for its 170,000 employees.

These expenditures have resulted in the creation of around 259,500 indirect jobs in addition to Amazon’s direct hires, ranging from construction and shipping to professional services.
