Amazon restores cloud services after power outage hits data center

After a brief power interruption at one of Amazon.com Inc's data servers on the US East Coast, several apps and websites, including those of streaming provider Hulu, office messaging software Slack, and Epic Games, were back up and running.

"The problem has been rectified, and the service is back up and running," AWS stated. Amazon warehouse has previously stated that the disruption impacted its platform, which provides computer capacity to its Amazon Web Services cloud network (AWS).

Slack, an office messaging app had reported problems with file uploads, message editing, and other features.
