$4 million Trew expansion will create 75 new jobs in Ohio

Trew announced an expansion in Southwest Ohio, creating at least 75 new engineering jobs.

To support the project, the firm will repurpose 50,000 square feet of over 200,000 square feet of space in a technology center.

It will help in the development of material handling solutions.

Trew, which makes intelligent automated material handling solutions for retail, e-commerce, distribution, and manufacturing clients, will receive around $4 million in funds with an R&D Grant from the state's private economic development corporation, JobsOhio.

COO Alfred Rebello said: “Consumer preferences, the labor environment, and supply chain pressures continue to drive transformation and growth in the material handling industry.”

Trew employs about 350 people and is based in Fairfield at 5855 Union Centre Blvd.

The company also currently operates in Wisconsin and Ontario, Canada.
